Live Music : Surge Records Launch ft. Kayleigh Hall, Octane + Special Guests

Surge Records presents as part of their launch event line up…
Kayleigh Hall
+ Octane / DJW
+ Phil Baker
+ Captain of the Lost Waves
+ Gordon Zola

Celebrate the official launch of the new direction of this unique label for writers of music, lyrics, poetry and prose.  Featuring established local singer songwriter, Kayleigh Hall and international session musician and author Phil Baker (Uriah Heep Legends).  Surge Records owners, Anton (producer of Electronic Dance Music) and John (DJ and author) will premier their new material and remixes.
Special guests include ethereal troubadour, Captain of the Lost Waves and performance poet, Gordon Zola.

Kayleigh Hall is an introspective acoustic singer-songwriter hailing from Bacup, known for her heartfelt and original compositions.  Drawing inspiration from her own experiences, Kayleigh’s songwriting is a cathartic expression of raw emotions and genuine sentiments.  Kayleigh’s music resonates with audiences seeking a genuine connection through music.

Octane started his career working as a DJ, then moved on to be a Producer for EMI Records.  From there, he progressed into session playing and producing some of the big dance artists in the world as well as touring internationally.  Octane is marking his return and signing to Surge Records by collaborating with new artists as well as launching with the new EP, Dark Times.

Phil Baker is a versatile artist who captivates audiences with his soulful voice and compelling writing. With a passion for storytelling, Phil weaves emotions into his music, creating a unique connection with his fans.

The Captain has been described as an ethereal troubadour, a profound storyteller, music philosopher, poet, bard and eccentric free thinking renegade.  His musical offerings are inspired by the great songwriters and philosophers of yesteryear.  This is visceral music for the mind and body, full of dreamy verses, life affirming choruses and sheer audacity.  Where melodic artistic invention meets in a melting pot of alternative folk, progressive, classical world, baroque chamber orchestral pop and ambient soundscapes.

“The Captain was born to be an entertainer, perhaps even a prophet, watching his show is a life altering experience, there are no words in the English language to describe him” – The Huffington Post

Enter the realm of Gordon Zola.  A creative titan crafting worlds with words, he weaves intricate tales that mesmerise and captivate readers.
