The first ever Horse + Bamboo events were about a local story of a young woman murdered on the moors above Helmshore. The main event was the unveiling of a carved stone 1000-feet above the Rossendale Valley. The stone is still in its place – now a well-known landmark.
A ‘walkabout’ from the company’s first (horse-drawn) tour. Played in the various landscapes that we arrived at, the show described an imaginary journey through the life of the Flemish painter Pieter Brueghel.
